Lille Administrative Court agrees with associations, distributions will continue

This Wednesday 22nd march, the administrative court of Lille overturned the ban introduced by the Mayor of Calais. For us, humanitarian associations, this is a relief.

Food distributions must and will continue in Calais for all people in straitened situations.

Every day, volunteers from different associations organize meal, sleeping bags and warm clothes distributions. We also inform migrants, identify health problems and identify minors and inform the authorities so they can help. We estimate that there are currently 400 refugees in Calais.

Come and join us to help ! Or make a donation to support us !

As a reminder, we are open to a discussion with the authorities for the organization of such distributions (place, installation, etc.). We hope to work with the town hall of Calais in the general interest. And more widely, it is essential to think of facilities outside Calais, but also in Calais.

Distribution of food and clothes is not what attracts migrants to Calais. But it does help to ease the tensions there in light of the current situation.
